I'm in Bur Dubai and my Honda Accord has been giving me trouble for the past week – it's cranking slower every morning and I can tell the battery is on its way out. The thing is, I've had such mixed experiences with battery shops around here that I honestly don't know who to trust anymore. Last time I bought a battery from a place near the Meena Bazaar area, it died within 14 months and when I went back they gave me the runaround about warranty and tried to blame my alternator. I'm pretty sure they sold me something old that had been sitting on their shelf for ages, because the date code on it was nearly a year old when I checked later. I've been asking around and a couple of people mentioned that Amaron batteries are really good for the heat here and have a proper warranty that they actually honor, which is exactly what I need after my last experience. I'm hoping to find Quality Amaron car batteries available near Bur Dubai so I don't have to drive across town and deal with the traffic. I'd also prefer a shop that can do the installation on the spot and actually test the alternator before just throwing a new battery in, because I'd rather know now if something else is wrong. Anyone have a specific place they'd recommend in the area that stocks genuine Amaron batteries and has decent customer service? I'm tired of getting treated like I don't know anything just because I'm not a mechanic. Appreciate any help you guys can offer.
